Trick or Treat, Smell My Feet...

Give me something good to eat!

Walker was definitely interested in all the good stuff to eat! We headed over to MeMommie's house for her neighborhood's Halloween street party and parade. Walker loved seeing all the older kids all dressed up. He pointed out everyone's hat to us and was mesmerized by all the helmets, witch hats, and hoods he saw. It was a really nice get together! They had pizza delivered along with dips and fruit. Once Walker got a taste of pizza, he did NOT want to venture far from the food table! Whenever we'd try to walk away, he's point and babble something until we took him back for more. I swear he ate more than he ever does at home. The grapes were his favorite!

After all the kids ran themselves ragged and the parents got a good amount of adult beverages in their system, there was a Halloween parade up and down the street. I didn't think Walker would notice what was going on much less want to participate, but as soon as he saw all the other kids line up, he wanted to go! So, off we went to get in line. He brought up the back of the line but did a good job of moving his little duck feet fast enough to keep up. At the top of the street, we turned around and Walker gave out of steam. So, I had to carry him the rest of the way. That was a long way to run for those little chubby legs!

After the parade, he discovered a broom laying by the street. It was all over after that! He didn't notice anything else.

We finally packed up and headed back to MeMommie's to answer the door for trick or treaters. We stayed for just a couple groups and then headed home. It was past Walker's bedtime at that point. He had the best time and we can't wait for next year when he's old enough to stay up late enough to go trick or treating himself. Maybe next year we'll have a little parade in our neighborhood...I'll have to mention it to the HOA. You didn't think I was volunteering to organize it, did you?
