Gobble, Gobble!
We had a fun Thanksgiving! We started off the morning at the Turkey Trot. We met uncle Ryan and Miss Kristie at the starting line. It wasn't long before they left me behind in the dust! But I finished and didn't completely make a fool of myself. Walker and Webb did a great job of keeping Daddy company and sitting in the stroller. Even with all the people - 9,000 runners plus all the spectators - they didi great! Walker is really getting more and more comfortable with crowds and getting out of his comfort zone.
After resting up at home, Joseph took Walker to the golf course to play. The clubhouse was closed but the course was open so they were able to goof off a little. THey had fun rolling down the hills. Joseph said he forgot was dizzy felt like. I think he realized just how old we've gotten...
Later that afternoon, we headed over to MeMommy's house for dinner. Uncle Hunter, Aunt Corinna and the cousins were in town. We had a nice dinner and both boys did really well at the table. But, when it was time to leave, Webby let it be known. They were so tired when we got home!
Joseph wanted to experience Black Friday (even though it was still Thursday). Yep, you read that right... So, he met Hunter and Grainger at Sears in search of a tv. We've been having some remote control wars around here so he decided it was time for a second tv. Sears was a bust so Grainger and Hunter headed home. Joseph headed out to HH GRegg to wait in line for an hour to get in. He was victorious and came home with a new tv and a $10 DVD player. True to his nature, he promptly got on the internet searching for his tv to make sure he got a good deal. He found it on Amazon, in stock, free shipping, for the same price. Oh, well...it was the experience!
So, that was our Turkey Day. No pictures since we were so busy and didn't have a chance to pull out the camera.
Today we headed out to the Christmas tree lot for the perfect tree. I found it but had a hard time convincing Joseph. Even the guys at the tree lot were snickering at our Charlie Brown tree. It is the perfect size and you can see most of the trunk, but that means the branches are perfectly spaced for hanging the ornaments just right. Walker helped us decorate while Webby took his nap. He loved seeing all the ornaments. He doesn't remember anything from last year! YOu can tell the branches he helped decorate; all the ornaments are all clumped together! But, we just let him do his thing and it looks so cute!
Here are some pictures...
I almost forgot, we went on a walk this afternoon - it's been so warm the past few days! - and took Pepper with us. She's been doing so good, but didn't quite have enough energy to keep up with Walker's running. So, we put her in the stroller thinking she's just get up there and then jump right down. Surprisingly, she stayed in it and seemed to love it! Although she almost jumped out when she saw Ricky Joe, she did great. Oh, and we let her get pretty close to Ricky Joe and she did NOTHING to him! She's all bark, no bite!
